Our Client is looking for registered nurses specialising in pediatrics to work in Sydney, Australia.
The role consists of the following:
•Coordinating calls with Medical Consultants and receiving hospital consultants to triage and determine potential neonatal or pediatric transport requirements
•Coordinating the mode of transport, personnel and equipment
•Participating in neonatal and paediatric retrievals by road, rotary wing and fixed win and occasionally interstate or overseas retrievals
•Assessing, stabilising and evaluating the patient's clinical status at the referring hospital during transport and prior to admission to a tertiary centre or destination facility
•Acting as a patient/parent advocate throughout the retrieval process
•Maintaining written documentation and computerised records pertaining to coordination and retrieval
•Proficiently, timely and accurately entering and updating information relevant to the maintenance of the database
•Staffing a virtual "mobile" neonatal &/or paediatric ICU bed in emergency situations
